IKEA CABINETS: The cabinets (right) were worn but functional and the client wanted a fresh look. After testing out several color samples, we mixed a custom color to get just the right shade of red. We removed the doors and the hardware, sanded and cleaned the surfaces, and gave everything 2 coats of Benjamin Moore Aura paint in an eggshell finish. |
STAIRS:
The stairs from the ground floor to the parlor floor in this Victorian brownstone
had shifted over time leaving unsightly gaps between walls, the treads, the risers and the baseboard (right). We skim coated the riser and plastered and caulked the gaps. We then primed, sized and papered the walls and painted the trim (below).
STAIRS AND HALLWAY: The stairs and walls of this ground floor rental needed attention. We scraped, caulked, and skim-coated as needed and then primed and finish coated all of the surfaces.
